Brendan Burnside - Bass, Backing Vocals
By 1987, I transitioned to bass guitar, and the band I was in, Strait Lace, was packing out the Brickmakers Arms every Friday for six months.
In the late '80s, we played with The Grass, a wild party band shared by housemates.
Throughout the '90s, I played bass with The Hounddogs and Denzil Does Dallas, bringing their music to Ballarat, Ararat, and other country towns.
We had a residency at the Pier Hotel with Cyclone Caroline, while playing some major gigs, including performances at the Art Centre Reception Room, Powerhouse (Albert Park Lake), and the Palladium at Crown.
In the mid-2000s, I had a stint as an acoustic duo on guitar, which we revisited in the early 2010s. I later joined The Cash Cows in the mid-2010s and still occasionally play with them. From 2015, they took on drums with Massive Annie for a year and a half.
From 2018 to 2024, I played bass with Snideroth, and in late 2023, I debuted with The Sociables Classic Rock. I have a long-standing and passion for live music, with occasional gigs and collaborations.
Wayne Anderson - Drums
At 18 Wayne joined The Scratch Band, they were a blues band gigging frequently around the pubs and biker clubs around Melbourne.
Next band was a rock covers band called 4 On The Floor, doing many gigs around Victoria.
Wayne had stints with several other bands after this, then got a call from Peter (SCR) to see if he would like to join The Sociables Classic Rock Band.
So here l am, enjoying playing classic rock with this very talented group of musicians.
Zac Abraham - Co Band Leader, Lead Vocals
A postgraduate alumnus of the Australian Institute of Music, Zac has also studied at One World College of Music and Performer’s Collective. Throughout his musical journey, he has trained under respected musicians including Sentirenla Lucia, Ritwik De, Rahul Rai, and Sherry Mathews, developing a strong foundation in contemporary performance, songwriting, arranging, and music production.
Serving as the Co-Band Leader for The Sociables Classic Rock, where he directs rehearsals, develops musical arrangements, selects repertoire, and leads the band in delivering dynamic live performances. His experience in directing bands and ensembles allows him to adapt music for different performance settings.
As a Music Director at Molecule Music, Zac oversees musical direction, ensemble development, repertoire selection, and performance preparation. He works with musicians to create arrangements, coordinate rehearsals, and develop cohesive performances while maintaining high artistic and technical standards. His role involves guiding young musicians, shaping the overall musical identity of performances, and creating engaging experiences for audiences.
